Maine Coon Cat Information

These beautiful cats like playing, but they also like to take breaks for well-earned naps when the urge strikes.

The muscular, balanced, and rectangular shape of Maine Coon cats gives the appearance of general equilibrium. In general, male Maine Coons

are bigger than females, and it's not uncommon for a guy to exceed 20 pounds or more. The double coat of Maine Coon cats is wavy,

with a soft silky undercoat and longer guard hairs on top. They have long, bushy tails and a noticeable rough across their chests.

Although Maine Coon cats come in every shade and

pattern, the colors brown and purple are not permitted for pedigree.
